The moment I started earning money online, I started thinking how the hell would I get my earnings here in the Philippines. oDesk provides a variety of payment methods to withdraw your earnings.
The first thing I looked at was the oDesk payoneer debit card but from what I have read in forums and blogs, you pay $2 per withdrawal from oDesk to your card. You can get the money fast if you pay another $3 to load up your card. I requested the card and it was delivered to me free, but it took a whole month before it was delivered to my house.
The next payment i tried was Paypal. oDesk charges a withdrawal fee of $1 per transaction. In the Philippines, you have to transfer your paypal money to Unionbank EON debit card which charges you PHP50 per withdrawal to you EON debit card. You can apply for a Unionbank EON debit card at any Unionbank branch which will take at most 7 business days before you can get the card. You will need PHP 350 to pay for the annual fee of the card. Just like the Payoneer debit card, you can also use the EON card to verify you paypal account. It would normally take 3 - 4 days before you can withdraw your money from your card using an ATM machine.
So to all the Filipinos who work online and needs a payment method that you can cash out on an ATM machine, you can choose from any of these two debit card.
Thanks for reading.
